Grand Paradise Bavaro Punta Cana

For our family vacation in February 2011, we decided to buy a vacation package in Punta Cana trough expedia.com. When we got at Grand Paradise Bavaro, our good mood started to melt down. The room was filled with a mold smell and every piece of furniture was in bad shape. Expedia.com had advertised this resort having 3 1/2 stars but on their gate were only 3 stars. During our first night, when my wife was covering our child, some bugs running from underneath him. Then we realized that those were bedbugs. The bed frame was full of bed bugs and we took over 20 pictures and one small movie of them. Every piece of furniture was swarming with bedbugs. My wife works as a doctor at a Bronx hospital. She knew that it is to late to leave the room. It was a very big chance to have our stuff already infested. We couldn't sleep that night trying to protect our son from being stung by parasites and trying to find solutions to leave the resort.

The second day nobody seemed to care and understand our problem. After speaking to 8 different people we were offered to move in an other room. My wife checked 4 different rooms, all of them were infested with bedbugs. At list we were offered a room in an newer building that was with no bedbugs but the smell was the same.

The resort manager offered to have our clothes washed. Our clothes were washed with no soap and brought back stinking.

A day before living the facility we were let to know that the bus to the airport was departing 5 1/3 hours before the airplane's departing. After hours of talking over the phone we finally solved this problem with Blue(expedia's transport company).

An hour before leaving the resort I found out that I have to pay for the laundry. I had to run 50 minutes to find the person to solve this problem.

I have taken the pictures of the rooms check out receipts.

Coming home to Bronx was the most pleasant day of our journey.

We left our baggage in the car till we had everything bed-bug disinfected.

We tried to complain at expedia.com. Every time when I or my wife pronounced the word complaint the operator hang up.
